Six powerful words
Stop Hate, End Racism, Choose L.O.V.E. (Live Our Values Everywhere).
More than words, it is our way of being ever better, together.
The University of Rochester stands against all forms of hatred and racism and is united in a commitment to creating lasting change through a movement called Live the Six. The Office of Equity and Inclusion is leading this new institution-wide, values-driven initiative.
Live the Six is based on the idea that we are all interconnected and interdependent, and that we have a shared responsibility to create a safe and supportive environment for everyone, regardless of their race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect of their identity.

“We all have something to bring to this movement. This is an opportunity for leaders in all parts of the University to unite with staff, faculty, and students to rally behind our shared foundational values.”
